An augmented reality app for magazine advertisements that allows users interact with merchandise.
The ArAd app lets users try on products before purchasing them. Implementing Augmented Reality (AR) in marketing is the new trend. AR offers the experience that spans across “world space” and “screen space”. With AR technology, brands can offer clients to try on their products virtually anytime and anywhere. Unlike VR, AR doesn’t require users to have a bulky headset to enjoy the experience, they can just simply use their smartphone’s camera to experience AR.
Why I design this app? I want to transform the experience of viewing ads in static media. My goals are to bring values to both users and businesses. For users, the app improves users’ experience when viewing ads on static media. For businesses, users are more inclined to buy the products when they try them on.
Target audiences include - Passengers on airplanes or trains. - Patients who are waiting in the clinics. - People who read print magazines.
