Daydreamer is a speculative mobile app and website system that visualizes the connections between people's days and dreams.
Daydreamer began as a fascination with dreams. The intention was to explore how dreams could be made tangible and visual, despite it coming from our unconsciousness. I was curious about how our dream experiences can affect our daytime and vice versa. The mobile app acts as a journal, allowing you to write down your days and dreams.
The website lets you explore how your own days and dreams interact and affect each other based on the written journal entries. Entries for dreams are typically written as if it was a story or play involving characters, settings, actions and emotions. These dreams are visualized by a collage, representing each element with generated stock imagery.
