Tattooing is a practice deeply imbedded in Filipino culture. But like most things innately Filipino, it has been diluted by centuries of colonization. Pintado's goal is to provide people with the knowledge on both safe practices and an aspect of The Philippine's indigenous culture.
The product consist of a wooden briefcase like container that acts as storage and as a makeshift light table. Inside is everything you need to get started including a pamphlet on the proper procedures in giving a hand poked tattoo as instruction for after care. The kit also comes with a brief lesson on Baybayin, one of the native alphabets fond in the Philippines.
