Spectacularly Me is an illustrated children's book, the story is told using only illustration, not text. The book is about a young girl who can't see the board at school so she has to go to the eye doctor. When the doctor tells her she needs glasses she is upset, but throughout the book she learns to love her new glasses. The main theme in the book is inclusiveness, which is why I wanted it to be understood without written words.
The inspiration from this book came from my first experience wearing braces, at first I hated them but am now incredibly thankful. I wanted the colour palette of the book to be very bright and welcoming especially since the book takes place during the winter time.
