SpeechEasy - A new identity

Creating a new identity and system for anti stuttering device, SpeechEasy.

Launched in June 2001, SpeechEasy is an anti-stuttering ear device. With a combination of scarce user interface, weak brand identity and limited accessibility, a rebrand was necessary. Stutterers ages 10 and up will be able to interact with SpeechEasy's new system to improve their speech fluency and blockages. Using both technological and psychological approaches to their stuttering treatment, users will grow confident in their speech. This system consists of a new device, brand identity, complementary app & campaign design.

Our mission is enhancing connectability, providing relief and changing perception. Connectability is enhanced by creating system that will improve speech fluency and to educate non-stutterers on the reality of stuttering. Relief will be provided by better catering for stuttering individuals, users can feel heard and have hope that their speech can get better.

Perception will be changed by exposing everyone to more facts about stuttering, generic suggestions would occur less. This will lead to a well informed and inclusive society, providing a better environment for stutterers.
