“Feel Good” was a sticker bombing project dedicated to celebrating the little victories in life. Small but mighty, achievements like feeling confident, quitting a habit, getting exercise, or making a little personal dream come true are all things we should always celebrate and Feel Good about! I sticker bombed the Yonge and Eglington area of Toronto, hoping to catch the eye of a passerby and make their day a little brighter with a fun sticker.
The Feel Good Sticker Project was a study in design in the public sphere - I was aiming to create a collection of stickers that anyone could resonate with. Each sticker has a different meaning but are all unified with celebrating the small things in life.
My art style went in the direction of pen “doodles”, sticking to a black and white colour scheme with a pop of red in each illustration for contrast. I drew inspiration from one of the most iconic movie props in film history: the Leg Lamp from “A Christmas Story” - I quite liked the quirkiness of this object and the strange yet funny feeling I got looking at it. I wanted to bring that same strangeness into my illustrations for this project.
