Toronto Local, a three day mock event features different local farmer's markets, locally made goods, as well as workshops that inspire positive lifestyle changes and a collection of family activities. This event designed to take place in Toronto's Distillery District, a perfect match for the campaigns emphasis on raw and natural foods and sustainability.
The process of this project began by laser cutting the visuals on a piece of real barnboard from my backyard. Using real materials helped for the natural ageing and splitting o the wood to show through in the final poster.
The illustrations and type treatment allowed for all of the different materials to flow cohesively together. The tickets were printed on a risograph printer to allow for authentic spot colours that layer, mimicking a silkscreen print.
The major deliverables in this project consist of the event tickets, the event poster and informational pamphlet. Because the event occurs in Toronto, all of the materials were designed bilingual. The pamphlet showcased over 21 events occurring over 3 days and showcased a custom map. All illustrations were hand-drawn, then digitally rendered.
